WA: Teen e-scooter rider fights for life after collision with car in Greenwood
A teenager is in a critical condition in hospital after a collision with a car while riding an electric scooter.
It happened about 6.40pm on Thursday in the northern Perth suburb of Greenwood when the 15-year-old rider tried to cross Hepburn Ave at the Karuah Ave crosswalk.
WA Police said as the rider entered the intersection, there was a collision with a Holden Captiva station wagon.
The rider suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital, where he remained in a critical condition as of Friday morning.
The 19-year-old man driving the Holden Captiva wasn’t injured.
Investigators are urging anyone who saw the crash, has dashcam vision of the crash, or saw the Holden Captiva or e-scooter in the area prior to the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The incident follows two Queensland teenagers riding the same e-scooter being taken to hospital in critical condition after a collision with a car on the Sunshine Coast on January 3.
Two other girls, 11 and 13, also riding a single e-scooter, were injured after a collision with a car in the outer northeastern Perth suburb of Ellenbrook in December.
And a 19-year-old woman was killed in Canberra in September when she too had a crash with a vehicle while riding an e-scooter.
