Tina Turner passed away at 83. Leaving behind a great legacy, her colleagues in the music industry shared heartfelt tributes in her honor. Other family members predeceased the legend.

The entertainment world plunged into mourning following the death of music icon Tina Turner. The esteemed performer died at her residence in Küsnacht, near Zurich, Switzerland, on May 24, after a long battle with health issues.

Turner's official Instagram page broke the tragic news with a statement, "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow."

Tributes poured in from peers and protégés, underscoring Turner's expansive legacy.

Lionel Richie shared a touching snapshot of the two in a warm embrace during a performance, with the message, "What a life! What a show! What a talent! Your resilience was a lesson for us all. I will miss you, my dear friend! Thanks for the memories…🕊️🖤#tinaturner."

Priscilla Presley paid her respects and recalled how Turner was among Elvis Presley's favorite performers. She added, "I remember how she held an audience with an energy that was undeniably pure Tina!"

Actress Angela Bassett lauded the iconic singer's determined pursuit of her music career and fearless approach to life, while Gloria Gaynor acknowledged Turner's monumental role in carving a path for women in rock music.

A heartfelt farewell from Sir Tom Jones read, "Tina, an incredible woman, a genuine singer, a one of a kind talent, I am honoured (sic) to have known her. RIP Tina."

Her husband, Erwin Bach, survived Turner. Sons Ronnie Turner and Craig Turner, and sister Alline Bullock passed before the singer.

The funeral will reportedly be a private affair for family and close friends.
