The BJP leader alleged that how the Wadhawan family reached Mahabaleshwar from Mumbai amid the lockdown, was the government giving VVIP treatment to the accused of Yes Bank. He has appealed to the Governor of Maharashtra to intervene in this matter.

Amitabh Gupta allegedly allowed 23 people from the Wadhawan family to visit Mahabaleshwar. In a letter issued on official letterhead, Gupta wrote that ‘I know the following (person) very well as he is my family friend and he is traveling from Khandala to Mahabaleshwar due to a family emergency. ‘ In the letter, he gave details of five vehicles that 23 people were traveling.
