James Roday is a well-known American actor, director, and screenwriter who is best known for his part in the hit television series ‘Psych.’ When he tried to register with the Screen Actors Guild, he discovered that there was already another James Rodriguez registered with them, so he changed his professional name from James David Rodriguez to James Roday. After finishing his study at New York University’s experimental theatre division, he made his cinematic debut and was immediately placed in starring roles in his mid-20s. He had to wait a few more years, though, before he got his first big break.

He graduated from William Howard Taft High School in San Antonio in 1994. Following that, he enrolled in the Experimental Theatre Wing at ‘New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts,’ where he received his bachelor’s degree in fine arts in 1997. He is currently playing Gary Mendez in ‘A Million Little Things.’ Other films and television shows in which he appeared in the late 2010s were ‘Fortune Rookie’ (2018), ‘The Buddy Games’ (2019), and ‘Berserk’ (2019).
